New Connecticut Sports Betting Location Opens In Bridgeport
Fact Checked by Jim Tomlin

Connecticut fans, in addition to legal online sportsbooks, will have another venue to cheer on their Huskies during the remainder of both the Men’s and Women’s NCAA Basketball Tournaments. That’s because the Connecticut Lottery Corporation (CLC) and New York-based Fanatics Betting and Gaming opened the state’s 10th retail sportsbook on March 25.

The new location is Total Mortgage Arena in downtown Bridgeport. The facility is the home of the Bridgeport Islanders of the American Hockey League and PWHL New York of the Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL). The Islanders are the top farm team of the NHL’s New York Islanders. The 10,000-seat arena hosts over 130 live events.

Connecticut launched legal sports betting apps in 2021 and is also one of a small number of states with legal online casinos, also known as iGaming.

Hours of operation for the Fanatics sportsbook in Bridgeport will be 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. ET seven days a week.
