Through a three-way merger between DraftKings, SBTech, and Diamond Eagle Acquisition Corp., DraftKings officially went live on the Nasdaq in April of 2020. This marked the first time a legal sports betting company in the U.S. was publicly traded. Although DraftKings set the trend, other company’s such as Golden Nugget have since followed and Rush Street Interactive is hoping to do the same.
