The Book Opens in Time for the Super Bowl

Just days before the Super Bowl, The Book – Harrah’s Philadelphia’s game-changing sports betting experience officially opens its doors to take bets. The Book is now the fourth sportsbook in the Philadelphia area and the sixth in Pennsylvania

Philadelphia sports wagering enthusiasts now have a new place to wager on their favorites, including: pro/college football and basketball, baseball, hockey, soccer, golf and more.

The Book at Harrah’s Philly is equipped with:

  • 19 better-than-stadium lounge seats;
  • 11 high-top tables;
  • Various bar seating: and
  • Over 45 large screen TVs to watch the action live; and
  • Food and beverages tailored specifically for gameday will also be available. 

Today’s soft launch consists of a two-day test period that will be monitored by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB). After the test period, the sports book is expected to be granted full operational go-ahead and will be ready for its grand opening on Thursday, January 24 at noon.
