Kindred Group Launches Retail and Online Unibet Sportsbook in Pennsylvania

Only a few weeks after launching a retail location of its flagship-brand Unibet Sportsbook at Mohegan Sun Pocono in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, Kindred Group went live with online Unibet sports wagering and iGaming in mid-November.

The brand is partnered with sport betting platform provider Kambi Group and online gaming platform provider Pala Interactive in the Keystone State.

Manuel Stan, SVP Kindred U.S. said, “After a successful launch of our betting lounge, Unibet Sportsbook at Mohegan Sun Pocono, we are thrilled to take the partnership with Mohegan Sun online and bring the Pennsylvanian guests a state-of-the-art online gambling experience, including the best online casino games and an impressive online sportsbook.”

Kindred Group launched its Unibet Sportsbook in the U.S. for the first time in New Jersey on Sept. 10, in partnership with Hard Rock Atlantic City. The parent company of 11 global online gambling brands, including Unibet, Kindred Group has more than 26 million customers in over 100 countries around the world.

Aviram Alroy, vice president of interactive gaming at Mohegan Gaming and Entertainment, said, “We’re thrilled to introduce to our customers an opportunity to place bets and game online within the state borders. Our sportsbook lounge is a highly engaging and joyful experience on-premises and Kindred Group are able to extend that experience online through our strategic partnership.”

Unibet Sportsbook Rolls Out in Style

Mohegan Sun Pocono’s retail sportsbook brought in more than $2 million in sports wagers in October, according to data released by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board. Unibet brought in $305,697 in sports wagering revenue for the month.

Unibet partnered with the NFL’s Philadelphia Eagles and Philadelphia Union of MLS to increase brand awareness in the state. The sponsorship agreement with the Eagles, which does not include sports wagering, is the first casino partnership for the team.

Penn State football great, LaVar Arrington, was on hand for a special ribbon cutting ceremony to open the retail sportsbook, which features a high-definition video wall, lounge seating, a full-service bar and state-of-the-art sports betting terminals.

Unibet Sportsbook accepts wagers on a wide variety of sports, including NFL, CFL and NCAA football, NBA and college basketball, MLB, NHL, golf, tennis, boxing, UFC, rugby, NASCAR, MLS, La Liga, Bundesliga and much more.

Wagers accepted at Unibet include straight bets, parlays, round robin, fixed odds, money lines, prop bets and in-play bets.

There is no dedicated iOS mobile app as yet, but Apple users can access Unibet PA through their mobile device and tablet browsers. Android apps can be downloaded directly from the Unibet PA website.
