Caesars and NFL Strike Deal for Official Data

Caesars Sportsbook has started to become one of the leading sports betting companies in the world. The company absorbed William Hill, creating an enhanced platform that will rival DraftKings and FanDuel in the future. Caesars is targeting the NFL to attract bettors to the platform, as this is the largest wagering season of the year.

On Tuesday, the company became the second American betting operator to partner with the NFL to use the league’s official data feed.

Details of the partnership

The deal with the NFL is much larger than just official football data. Caesars Sportsbook has access to Genius Sports’ products, including official NFL, English Premier League, Liga MX, and NASCAR league data, and live streaming rights for 170,000 events every tear.

Genius announced a similar deal with WynnBET on Tuesday evening, which will boost that platform’s reputation in the industry. Official NFL league data covers everything about the league, according to Genius Sports.

Caesars Sportsbook can use NFL logos to market to potential customers. For the odds feed, Genius Sports gets data six seconds quicker than unofficial platforms. This eliminates the lag with live betting, which is excellent for bettors using the site.

The official feed can also use Next Gen Stats which are taken from programming chips in player’s equipment. The deal also makes Genius Sports the programmatic advertising partner to Caesars to help attract users to the book.

Kenneth Fuchs, head of sports at Caesars Entertainment, spoke after the deal was announced.

He said, “We look forward to improving our NFL sportsbook offerings through this partnership by giving customers a more engaging and exciting way to play. We know how exciting NFL betting is for our players, and through our partnership with Genius, we can now provide bettors with the live NFL data they need to make wagers like a true Caesar.”

In addition to NFL data, Caesars invested in gaining the naming rights for the New Orleans Superdome. This season it will be the Caesars Superdome, and sportsbook advertising will be showcased throughout the arena.

Genius Sports is gaining ground in the legal betting industry

Genius Sports is starting to become a major player in the sports betting and analytics industries. This is the second deal that Genius has formed with operators in the United States. The company signed a deal with DraftKings before inking a contract with Caesars.

Starting with DraftKings and Caesars is big for Genius Sports. The provider could engulf five more sportsbooks before the opening Sunday of the NFL season.

Genius Sports CEO Mark Locke spoke following the announcement.

He said, “We are thrilled that Caesars Entertainment has recognized our investment in official sports data as it fuels the next generation of fan experiences.”

The NFL has made a commitment to sports betting for the 2021 season. The league was originally against sports betting, but they have made a change since the Professional, and Amateur Sports Protection Act was legalized in 2018.

The NFL has seven sportsbook partners, and it’s continuing to sign more betting partners. This has been a revolutionary change since the beginning of sports betting in the United States.
