Indianapolis’ offensive line has been a mess without Quenton Nelson and Braden Smith, as they’ve already given up double-digit sacks on the season. They haven’t been great at opening holes for running back Jonathan Taylor, across the four games, and those struggles are likely to continue when they face off against Baltimore’s ferocious defensive front.
The Ravens don’t boast the same defense they had in the Ray Lewis era but they are very good. Right now they rank 12th in total defense (DVOA) in the NFL and that defense was on display last week against the Denver Broncos. They held Denver to 7 points and outside of a monster 31-yard run by Javonte Williams, they shut down the Broncos completely.
It marked the second week in a row that the Ravens were able to lock down an offense, although the first week came against the Detroit Lions, so that doesn’t particularly count. Still, the Colts aren’t exactly the Chiefs themselves so this should be another week of holding an opponent to under 20 points. If that happens, the Ravens can win this by more than a touchdown.
