Thanksgiving Weekend Sports Betting: NFL

The Buffalo Bills are suddenly regulars in Detroit. They hosted Cleveland there last week due to 7 feet of snow back home. Now they’re visitors against the Lions, and DraftKings is offering +500 odds on a special that involves Bills running back James Cook rushing for 100 or more yards, and Lions running back Jamaal Williams scoring at least one rushing TD. Cook has yet to rush for more than 86 yards in a game this season. Williams has 12 rushing scores.

Thanksgiving also sees the New York Giants visit Dallas. DraftKings has a special on that one, too. It’s +350 odds on Cowboys running back Tony Pollard rushing for at least 75 yards (which he has done in four straight games) and adding at least 50 receiving yards (which he has tallied twice this season). Then there is the Thanksgiving night game in Minnesota. DraftKings is offering -110 odds on New England quarterback Mac Jones and Vikings QB Kirk Cousins passing for at least one touchdown apiece.

NFL On Sunday

DK has specials for the Sunday slate. They include +160 odds on Baltimore quarterback Lamar Jackson passing for at least one touchdown and rushing for at least one more against the Panthers. The sportsbook is offering +175 odds on Bears running back David Montgomery rushing for at least 80 yards and one touchdown when Chicago visits the New York Jets. In the featured Sunday afternoon game, DraftKings is offering +650 odds on Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce catching at least two touchdown passes, and running back Isiah Pacheco rushing for at least one score against the Los Angeles Rams.

The Sunday night game has treats, too. DraftKings is offering +330 odds on Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts rushing for at least one touchdown, and Packers receiver Christian Watson catching at least one TD pass when Philadelphia visits Green Bay. And on Monday night, DraftKings has posted +550 odds on Indianapolis’ Jonathan Taylor and Pittsburgh’s Najee Harris each rushing for 100 or more yards. That would be in the Steelers-Colts game.

Thanksgiving Weekend Sports Betting: World Cup

Of course, there’s more than one type of football on offer this holiday weekend given the presence of the World Cup. Brazil, the odds favorite to win the tournament, opens group competition on Thanksgiving against Croatia. Unibet is loaded with specials on the match, including +450 odds on Neymar recording at least one goal and one assist, and +850 on the Brazilian star scoring at least two goals. Think Neymar will score with his left foot? You can get +600 odds on that, or +7000 odds on Neymar scoring three goals – one with the right foot, one with the left, and another via a header.

Friday brings the US-England clash. England, at +650, is the No. 2 odds choice to win the tournament at BetMGM. Unibet specials include +575 odds on Raheem Sterling scoring the first goal for England, and +1100 on Christian Pulisic doing the same for the U.S. Harry Kane of England is a +575 wager to score at least twice. The Three Lions are +650 to score more than 3.5 goals total. England carries +375 odds of scoring by penalty, should the Americans commit another foolish foul in the box as they did in their draw against Wales.

Mexico plays Argentina on Saturday. Canada faces Croatia on Sunday. Lionel Messi is a +650 wager at Unibet to score at least two goals against the Mexicans. Hirving Lozano is a +700 wager to score first for El Tri. Ike Ugbo is a +3500 wager at Unibet to score twice for Canada against Croatia. Jonathan David is +700 to score the first goal of the match for the Canadians.

College Football Thursday

The college football weekend slate kicks off Thursday with a big one – at least in the Magnolia State. Mississippi State visits Ole Miss in the Egg Bowl. The Rebels are a 2.5-point favorite at bet365. Bettors can get creative with wagers such as +800 on Ole Miss to win by between 13 and 18 points. They also can take +145 on Mississippi State to cover an alternative spread of -3.5. The visiting Bulldogs are also a +110 moneyline wager to win outright.

College Football Friday

Friday brings only one matchup between ranked teams. That comes when Tulane visits Cincinnati. A New Year’s Six bowl berth is potentially at stake. The Bearcats are a 2.5-point home favorite. The Green Wave is a +112 underdog. FanDuel is offering a +184 wager on the team with the first offensive possession recording at least two first downs within the first five plays. Like parlays? Cincy -2.5 and the under of 46.5 can be combined at +280.

McCarthy is +700 to score Michigan’s first TD. USC is a 4.5-point favorite in Los Angeles. FanDuel is offering a parlay of Notre Dame +5.5 and under the total of 62.5 points for +290.
