Pittsburgh Steelers at Baltimore Ravens Betting Preview

Two of the best teams in the National Football League will square off in Baltimore as the Ravens host the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. Pittsburgh enters this game with a perfect 6-0 record, while the Baltimore Ravens are an impressive 5-1.

Pittsburgh is outscoring teams by more than 10 points per game this season, and they have been extremely impressive. Baltimore has now won three straight games after suffering a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs earlier this season.

The Baltimore Ravens are 4.5-point favorites over the Pittsburgh Steelers in this first-place battle in the AFC North.

Pittsburgh Will Look to Run

The Pittsburgh Steelers do a lot of things really well, but running the football is at the top of the list. Pittsburgh enters Week 8 averaging almost 130 rushing yards per game, and that style of football will challenge the Baltimore Ravens.

James Conner leads the team with 451 rushing yards, but the team gets other players involved in the running game. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger can also make plays with his legs if he is forced out of the pocket.

Roethlisberger has thrown for 1,446 yards and 13 touchdowns for the Steelers, but he has struggled at times with his accuracy. “Big Ben” will have to be sharp to guide the Steelers offense in this matchup.

The defense continues to play great for Pittsburgh, and the team is allowing just 19.7 points per game. The Steelers have 26 sacks through six games, and that unit will be coming after Lamar Jackson.

Defense Dominating For Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens have a dominating defense as well this season, and that unit has been the best in the entire league. Baltimore is allowing just over 17 points per game, and they have already shut down some good offenses.

Defensive end Calais Campbell has four of the Ravens 22 sacks this season, and Baltimore will come after Roethlisberger in this matchup. If Baltimore can force the Steelers to give up their running game, it could be a big day for this defense.

Quarterback Jackson leads the team with 346 rushing yards, and the Ravens are once again the top rushing team in the NFL. Baltimore will need Jackson to be more accurate with his arm if the Ravens are going to get some separation in this matchup.

Baltimore should look sharp on offense after the long layoff between games.

Steelers Finally Suffer a Loss

The Pittsburgh Steelers were not going to finish the 2020 season without a loss, and their first loss will come in this game. Pittsburgh has gotten off to a great start, but they still have areas they need to improve.

Baltimore is coming off a Week 7 bye, and that should have the Ravens extra prepared for this matchup. The Ravens are a Super Bowl favorite this season, and they defend home field and win this game.

Bet the Baltimore Ravens -4.5 over the Pittsburgh Steelers in this huge AFC North showdown.
