MaximBet is an emerging lifestyle sports betting brand that is attempting to innovate the online gaming space. MaximBet recently created a partnership with the White Mountain Apache Tribe, giving the book market access in Arizona.
Arizona’s sports betting market is going to be vast, as professional sports teams and tribal casinos will receive licenses for online and retail wagering. DraftKings and FanDuel have already secured market access in the state through deals with the PGA and Phoenix Suns, respectively. BetMGM will also go live in Arizona thanks to a relationship with the Cardinals.
Securing licensure in Arizona is the fifth state for MaximBet since the company’s aggressive US expansion, beginning in 2021.
Details of the partnership
MaximBet, which is owned and operated by Carousel Group and affiliated with Maxim Magazine, finalized a partnership with the White Mountain Apache Tribe on August 12. MaximBet is currently live in Colorado, and it has secured sportsbook market access in Indiana and Iowa.
The book has received clearance for a sportsbook and online casino in New Jersey. After partnering with the White Mountain Apache Tribe, MaximBet executives have the goal of receiving a license in Pennsylvania, Louisiana, Missouri, and Mississippi.
Daniel Graetzer, the CEO of Carousel Group, spoke about the company’s excitement after partnering with the White Mountain Apache Tribe.
He said, “We are thrilled to partner with the White Mountain Apache Tribe to bring MaximBet and the renowned Maxim lifestyle experience to Arizona. With some of the best sporting teams in the country and a highly engaged sports community, we are confident Arizona will be drawn to our consumer-friendly app, world-class customer service, and the incredible live events we are planning for the State.”
Next steps in the process
The groups have jointly applied for sports betting licensure. They will likely receive clearance from the Arizona Department of Gaming unless there are flaws in the proposal. If the Department of Gaming provides a license, the sportsbook will launch quickly in the state.
Arizona sports betting is scheduled to launch by the NFL season opener on September 9. MaximBet will not take advantage of the launch, but the sportsbook should launch during football season.
Brent Kurth, the General Manager of Hon-Dah Resort-Casino, which is a property of the White Mountain Apache, spoke about the partnership on Thursday: “The White Mountain Apache Tribe is excited to be partnered with Carousel Group, MaximBet, and their world-class leadership to launch an exciting and unique sports betting product for Arizonans. This partnership will unlock a very important new revenue stream and is critical to the economic future of the tribe and its 17,000 members.”
Maxim Magazine was the inspiration behind MaximBet. MaximBet is attempting to be a lifestyle betting brand, appealing to both beginners and high rollers looking to test their luck on a variety of sports.
The site will offer countless promotions and include real-life rewards for frequent users of the sportsbook. The promotions outside of the sportsbook are a strategy MaximBet plans to use to win markets.
