DraftKings Set To Launch In Madison Square Garden

DraftKings is one of the biggest sports betting companies in the United States, and it continues to make some big moves to grow its brand. DraftKings just recently reached an agreement with Madison Square Garden that will make it the official sports betting and daily fantasy sports betting provider of one of the most famous venues in the World.

Not only was DraftKings able to strike a deal with Madison Square Garden, but it was also able to reach a deal with the New York Knicks and New York Rangers. Both of these teams play their home games in the iconic venue in New York City.

DraftKings will also get exclusive promotional rights inside and outside of Madison Square Garden, which will continue to grow its brand in the state of New York.

Company History

DraftKings was established in 2012 by Paul Liberman, Matt Kalish, and Jason Robins, and it started out as a Daily Fantasy Sports company. DraftKings has been in constant competition with FanDuel in the Daily Fantasy Sports industry, but it has expanded into the sports betting industry in recent years.

DraftKings Sportsbook was launched in 2018, and it has been able to open up in several states that have legalized sports betting. It has contracts with the National Football League and PGA Tour as the official daily fantasy sports partner of those leagues.

DraftKings is also in agreement with the National Basketball Association and National Hockey League as an official betting provider.

Major Merger

The Daily Fantasy Sports leader was recently in the news after announcing a merger with SBTech that would allow the company to go public. This new merger will give DraftKings the ability to offer up new and innovative technology to their customers, and this was part of the reason that this new deal was able to be made.

One of the most important things that DraftKings will get out of this new deal with Madison Square Garden is the exposure both inside and outside of the arena. DraftKings will have some static signage that is located on the outside of Madison Square Garden throughout the year, and it will also have some digital advertising on the media boards outside of the iconic arena.

Madison Square Garden changes out its signage depending on which team it is hosting on a given night, and DraftKings will be featured in most of this signage. There will be a DraftKings logo on the visiting bench for Rangers games, and one of the penalty boxes will also be outlined with DraftKings advertisements.

During New York Knicks games, there will be branding on the actual court at Madison Square Garden. This new deal will also allow DraftKings to set up some sports betting kiosks at New York Knicks and Rangers games if mobile sports betting is ever launched in the state.

Madison Square Garden is owned and operated by the Madison Square Garden Company, and hosts sporting events and other forms of entertainment throughout the year. Madison Square Garden was built in 1968 and has gone through several renovation projects throughout the years.
