In the United States, Thanksgiving weekend is characterized by the love of family members coming together to share turkey and stuffing – and the dislike between rival college football programs trying to secure bragging rights for another year. Indeed it’s college football rivalry weekend.

And this year there is more than just pride at stake. Several historic rivalries could also have direct impacts on the College Football Playoff picture. That factor is sure to drive interest among diehard fans, casual observers, and sports bettors alike. Given that many of these games occur in states with legal sports betting, sportsbooks are sure to have a wealth of wagers available on the action.

And that action centers on a Saturday showdown between No. 3 Michigan and No. 2 Ohio State. The winner effectively punches a ticket to the college football playoff.
