Indiana’s starting quarterback Michael Penix Jr. is doubtful for this game and that should allow Michigan State to secure a somewhat comfortable victory.
The Hoosiers’ offense had already been finding things difficult, averaging just 343.6 total yards per game, and the loss of Penix Jr. should only stagnate things further.
As for the Spartans, they are still undefeated this season after crushing Rutgers last week, and their divine trio of QB Payton Thorne, RB Kenneth Walker III and WR Jalen Nailor continue to run riot on defenses.
Indiana does have a respectable defense, but it’s hard to see how it can stop this relentless Michigan State offense, and for their own offense to have enough firepower to keep them in the game. Take the Spartans to cover the spread.
Michigan State -5. Playable to -6.5.
