Caesars Sportsbook & App Review: Claim $1000 Bonus

Fact Checked by Peter Mooney

In August 2021, Caesars Entertainment began the rebranding of its William Hill online and retail sportsbooks following its $3.7 billion acquisition of the British bookmaker in 2020. As a result, all William Hill Sportsbooks are now known as Caesars Sportsbooks increasing the brand’s reach across the USA.

As part of the rebranding efforts, Caesars has moved to improve its online sportsbook to match the service and products once offered by William Hill.

So let’s take a look at how the USA’s most recognizable casino brand has fared with their online sportsbook.

What is Caesars Sportsbook?

Caesars Sportsbook is a retail and online sports betting brand that currently serves customers in multiple states across the USA. Both retail and mobile sportsbooks offer odds on a decent range of sports including:

  • Auto
  • Baseball
  • Basketball
  • Boxing
  • Cricket
  • Cycling
  • Football
  • Golf
  • Hockey
  • Lacrosse
  • Rugby League
  • Rugby Union
  • Snooker
  • Soccer
  • Table Tennis
  • Tennis
  • UFC/MMA

While this covers a wide variety of live events, it’s not as extensive as the sports available on other sportsbooks such as DraftKings. However, it is certainly better than the range of sports Caesars offered odds on previously.

Welcome bonus and promotions

2021 was a big year for Caesars and to mark its rebranding announcement, the company updated its new customer bonus making it one of the best in the industry.

The bet credit is nothing new when it comes to welcome bonuses. The new player gets a chance to place their first bet and if it loses, they get their stake back in credit. Like we said, it’s very simple.

However, most sportsbooks will cap this bet credit at a couple of hundred dollars which is still quite impressive. But Caesars has gone all out to beat the competition by setting its cap at $1,000.

Yes, new customers who sign up with Caesars Sportsbook can place a first bet of up to $1,000 and get refunded as a bonus bet if that wager loses. This is a fantastic offer for both new and experienced bettors, as it gives you a safety net if your first bet doesn’t pan out as you expected. For experienced bettors, this allows you to take some calculated risk with your first wager, knowing that you’ll receive a bonus bet in the event that wager loses.

This bet credit offer is available to new customers only (not available for existing William Hill customers) and the first bet must be placed within seven days of registration. It’s a guarantee that if a new customer loses their first bet, they will receive a bonus bet to match their original stake up to a maximum of $1,000. This credit must then be used as a single bet. Simple. Just use promo code USBETTING1000 to get full advantage of this offer.

Rewards Program

While many other sportsbooks have no loyalty incentives, Caesars has added its sportsbook to the Caesars rewards program. This means that reward points can be earned and used across all of Caesars gambling and hotel operations.

The rewards available in exchange for points are quite impressive ranging from discounted hotel rates to shopping discounts at a Caesars property or even online.

Points come in two forms — Reward Credits and Tier Credits

Sports bettors earn one of each for every $10 spent on both the Caesars Sportsbook app and in retail sportsbooks.

The only difference between the two is that you accumulate Reward Credits which you can then exchange for items or services. As you collect Tier Credits you move up levels which then unlock certain rewards and privileges.

All in all, Caesars really knocks it out of the park when it comes to bonuses and rewards.

Software

caesars app

The Caesars Sportsbook website is very high quality, but it’s the mobile app that really shines through as one of the leaders in the market.

Both the iOS and Android apps are extremely user-friendly with a very simple and straightforward drop down menu that is easy to navigate.

Users can filter by bet type and sport to narrow down their search for the perfect wager. And when it comes to actually placing a bet, the betting slip is interactive and incredibly easy to use.

Some bets such as parlay cards will fill the screen so it’s easier to see the entire bet without having to scroll too far.

There’s also a quick play feature that allows users to play casino games once they are located in a state that allows mobile casino gaming.

During our testing, we found very little that didn’t impress us. Overall we’d have to say that the Caesars mobile sportsbook app is possibly one of the best on the market in terms of user-friendliness and functionality.

Features

So now we know that the software works extremely well, what about the actual betting?

The good news is that Caesars’ betting features are just as impressive.

Users of the Caesars app and website can make the following types of bets:

  • Moneylines
  • Point Spreads
  • Totals (Over/Under)
  • Championship Futures
  • Player Futures
  • Win Totals
  • Parlays & Round Robins
  • Team Props, Player Props, Game Props

That’s pretty standard fare for a solid sportsbook and no less than we’d expect. But where some sportsbooks let us down is in the live betting features. Thankfully, Caesars is once again on form with its efforts.

Caesars offers in-play betting for the majority of events on the sportsbook. All action is displayed in real-time using the league in question’s official data. And with all this information available in a single place, it makes for a highly immersive experience.

However, as with all live betting features, the time it takes for data to come through can be a bug bear. For example, scores on the app may not come through at the exact moment they change and could have a delay of a few seconds. That said, the delay is so minimal that it won’t affect your betting experience.

Odds Boosts

One of the standout features on Caesars Sportsbook is the odds boost. There’s a seemingly endless flow of odds boosts throughout any given day which offer great value if you know what to look for.

If a player has an account with another sportsbook, it might be worth checking in with Caesar prior to making a bet. Even if the odds are better on another sportsbook, the odds boost offered by Caesars might just make it worthwhile.

Customer Service

This is where many sportsbooks let their customers down, but we’re pleased to say that Caesars has invested heavily in maintaining excellent 24/7 customer support.

There’s a handy FAQ section that answers most of the common niggles that new customers may have. For questions that are a little more complicated or specific, there’s the live chat feature. In our tests, we had to wait no longer than a few minutes to have our queries answered.

The Final Word on Caesars Sportsbook

All in all, Caesars has really pushed the boat out to maintain the same standards in its sportsbook as William Hill prior to the buy-out. There’s a great selection of sports to choose from and the live betting feature works quite well while the mobile app is one of the best in the industry.

Perhaps most impressive are the welcome bonus, the loyalty program, and those odds boosts. These are features that we have yet to see matched in any other sportsbook making Caesars Sportsbook well worth a punt.
